William Thorp, son of Thomas, was born 1606 in England. It was he who migrated to America. He settled in New Haven Co, CT where he married his wife, Elizaeth Bedford in 1639. William’s 6th great granddaughter (Kelly’s g-g-grandmother) was Lida. She married Wesley Bronson. They lived in Chautauqua Co, NY.

Sarah Elizabeth Newton married Volney Thorp. She is the 4th great granddaughter of immigrant ancestor, Roger Newton (1610-1683) & Mary Hooker. Mary is the daughter of the famous Reverand Thomas Hooker (Kelly's 10th Great Grandfather).
