Chapin, Cummins, & Landgraff Genealogy
My Chapin lineage starts with Roger Chapyn and his wife Margery Urdde, my 13th great grandparents. They were both born & died in Totnes, Devon, England. Their son John married Philippe Easton of Paignton, Devon, England. Their son Samuel was the New England Colony immigrant. Samuel's likeness was used for the statue, "The Puritan," in Springfield, MA (commissioned by a descendant). Sam Married Abilenah Cooley. A few generations later my 5th great grandmother, Rhoda Chapin, married Bera Cummins in Vermont.
My Cummins line goes back to Leonard & his wife Jane. Their son was a Revolutionary War Patriot. He married Deborah Kendall and had at least 10 children. I descend from their son Bera, husband of above said Rhoda Chapin. Their son Charles married Victoria Landgraff. Their son William married Catherine McNulty and had at least 8 children in Oswego County, New York. Their daughter Katherine married John Lawrence Corkins and had at least 3 children. One of which was my great grandfather, Vincent Lawrence Corkins Sr.
My earliest Landgraff was Anthony, Victoria's father. He married Christiana Bauer. Victoria was 1 of 7 known children.
